Flat Stanley Showcase Photos

Thank you to all the families that were able to join us for our showcase. The students loved showing off all their hard work. Here are a few snapshots of the afternoon.

Flat Stanley Showcase

We will be hosting a Flat Stanley Showcase in Room 12 on Wed. April 4th from 2:30-3:30. Please join us anytime during the hour to see all the places our flat people went, read our stories on how we became flat and see the photos from the journeys.
We will also be treated to a pizza lunch on this day. Details will follow soon regarding the lunch.
The students have worked hard and would love for you to join us.

Flat Stanley's Are Back!

Please make sure to have a look at the map outside of the classroom when you come for the 3 way conferences. Our flat people have traveled the world and returned home with many tales of great adventures.

Boggy Creek Trip

We will be taking an afternoon trip to Boggy Creek on Fri. March 2nd. I will be sending home a permission slip on Feb.27th, but wanted to give parents an opportunity to check their schedules and see if you are able to join us. Please send me an email if you are able to help out. *Remember you must have a valid CRC to accompany us.

And Away They Go!

Our Flat Stanley project has begun. All flat people have been sent out into the cyber world. I would like to try and have all the project information back by Mar.2-4th. It would be great if your host could send you the info. and you print it and send it to school. If that is not possible please let me know. I have no problems doing it at school other than it might take me a little longer.

FLAT STANLEY PROJECT

By now I’m sure that you’ve heard mention of Flat Stanley. This has been a long anticipated project, one that has taken a lot of time and effort already. Here is a brief explanation of just what this project is all about.

We will be using this book to do a number of Social Studies, Science, Health, Language Arts and Math activities. We have made our own Flat people and are hoping to send our flat people on their own adventure visiting friends and relatives far away.

Please read the information sheet that was sent home with your child on Friday Feb.10th.

Please email me with your host/hostess address and I will email them the information package and your child's flat person.

Valentine's Day

Students are welcome to bring valentines for their classmates on Mon. Feb.13th and Tues. Feb. 14th. Please make sure to send one for every student as we are encouraging the value of belonging here at Dr. Perry. This is an optional activity. Students will be bringing home a list of names today. If you are wanting to send a treat on Feb.14th, please let me know so that we do not have too many. Thank you!
